The issue I face is after dcu-cli.exe runs I get the message "The image file X:\DCU\InvColPC.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine." I replaced the files I got from my laptop (an E7470) with those from another exact model machine (Optiplex 3070 Micro) wondering if there was some difference, but it didn't fix it. I know that would typically refer to an x86 vs x64 install or something similar, but don't see how to fix this. <br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />Thanksthezman007https://www.blogger.com/profile/00580329332993481939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6159186316497589396.post-64790337196061568272016-07-12T15:16:24.599-05:002016-07-12T15:16:24.599-05:00I never could get the .XML file to work correctly....I never could get the .XML file to work correctly. The best I could do was to just execute the dcu-cli.exe with no parameters.Mick Pletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09597651323688418212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6159186316497589396.post-76690553224940962972016-07-12T14:09:52.212-05:002016-07-12T14:09:52.212-05:00I am not sure what I might be doing wrong. I believe i need to use the config xml, but not sure what to do exactly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6159186316497589396.post-38725470157235877072016-06-10T16:06:03.339-05:002016-06-10T16:06:03.339-05:00Hi Mick,

I ran a log and it is tracing to Dell's FTP site OK, despite the fact that I'm booting into WinPE 10 using a USB key as PoC before I bring down my production boot.wim and use DISM to inject the PowerShell modules into it. I'm not certain why that would make a difference, but maybe it does.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6159186316497589396.post-66845592712804046332016-05-05T12:43:26.175-05:002016-05-05T12:43:26.175-05:00That is a fatal error from the DCU-CLI.exe. Do you...That is a fatal error from the DCU-CLI.exe. Do you have the correct msi.dll copied over? It must come from the same architecture as the WinPE is. I am using 32-bit WinPE 5.0, therefor I pulled the msi.dll from a windows 8.1 32-bit machine.Mick Pletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09597651323688418212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6159186316497589396.post-42691972388481600322016-05-05T10:56:19.703-05:002016-05-05T10:56:19.703-05:00Hello Mick,
